This swashbuckling adventure film, set during the English Civil War, depicts the capture of King Charles I by Colonel Judd, Captain Sylvester and their Parliamentarian Roundhead forces. A band of local loyalists, led by the dashing Edward Beverley, take on the challenge of rescuing the king. Colonel Judd’s daughter Claire becomes involved in the matter and proves she has a mind of her own.
