Movie: The Majestic (2001)
Screen-writer Peter Appleton is well on the way to being totally destroyed by Hollywood's Communist pogroms. A fortuitous accident leaves him amnesiac in a small town where his even more fortuitous resemblance to a missing war hero gives the demoralised town a new lease of life. Without a memory he easily accepts the past the town ascribes to him, even to the point of being accepted by the father and the lover of the missing man. And together, they further enhance the town by reopening the local cinema, "The Majestic" and life is good. That is until his memory and the FBI come calling.
