Based on a true story, this touching drama with an all-star cast follows the life of Michael Oher, an African-American boy with an impoverished youth who was given a second chance at life. In and out of foster care from a young age, living on the streets or sofa surfing with acquaintances, Michael’s world connects with that of Leigh Anne Tuohy and her family. Giving the boy a lifeline to hope, the Tuohy family takes Michael in and, step by step, the boy’s world changes. Throwing his energy into sports, Michael steps on to the fields of American football. Sandra Bullock won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy.
