Made in 1976, Storm Boy is a film adapted from the book of the same name by Australian children's author Colin Thiele. It is about a boy growing up in an isolated corrugated iron shed next to a wildlife sanctuary. He lives with his father, who supports them by fishing. He doesn't attend school, and is illiterate, but knows no better. When a new teacher arrives, the father and teacher go into battle about the boy's education.
