Father and son team, Harold and Albert Steptoe have the junk market cornered in their neck of the woods, and that makes Harold a good catch. Which would be fine, if Albert can take the new daughter-in-law, a stripper named Zita in his stride. But he can't. So now Zita has a monstrous Dad-in-law who refuses to take the new domestic arrangements lying down and poor old Harold is caught in the middle.
