Robin Longstride is an archer serving in the army of Richard the Lionheart in France. But with the death of Richard, Robin, along with his comrades Will Scarlett, Little John and Alan-a-Dale returns to England, where they come across the dying Robert of Locksley who had been ambushed by Godfrey, a knight loyal to the interests of France. Promising Robert that he will deliver his sword to his Father Walter, in Nottingham, Robin is asked by the bereaved man to take on the identity of his dead son to protect his land from King John. While Robin is busily living the life that was stolen from Robert by Godfrey, Godfrey continues his machinations to unseat King John. But now he has Robin to contend with.
