Murdoch Mysteries (2008)
William Murdoch is eager, clever, devout and strangely lacking a sense of humour. He's a detective in C19th Toronto, where his ability to crack the strangest murder cases has given him an authority which even his boss, Inspector Thomas Bracken accepts. Ably assisted by both Constable George Crabtree, and forensic pathologist and suffragette, Dr. Julia Ogden, who happens to be the love of his life, Murdoch keeps the streets of Toronto squeaky clean. Almost.
