It's post-Covid and Maryam, Catherine, and Helen, are back in the wards after completing their maternity leave. But this and the fact that they are all doctors are the only two things they have in common. Helen is dealing with working-motherhood and a breaking marriage, while no quarter is given the Maryam who has been thrown in at the deep end. For Catherine though, motherhood is only a detour in her ambition to become a consultant.
