You either love them or you loathe them, but there's no doubt that without the energy of the ABBA songs to move the story along, this would just be another cute love story set on a romantic Mediterranean island. Sophie Sheridan is about to get married, but who's going to escort her down the aisle? She wants her Dad, but she doesn't know who he is. She's narrowed it down to three, thanks to her purloined copy of her Mother's diary and invited all three to the wedding on the assumption that as soon as she sees him she'll know who he is. Ahh, Sophie, it doesn't work that way. In fact nothing works out as planned, but the chaos is delightful, happy and very, very Greek.
