Movie: Heavens Above! (1963)
This movie features some of the biggest C20th British stars. The great Peter Sellers appears as Rev Smallwood, a very devout minister who has been mistakenly assigned to a wealthy parish, which prefers its religion unshaken and definitely unstirred. Bringing in a black assistant, opening the church to the poor and the outcast, and converting Lady Despard, his richest parishioner, leads to chaos, and an unpleasant whiff of change.
