Emily In Japan

A $50 million exhibition of more than 200 works of Indigenous artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye, toured Japan in February 2008. It was the largest solo exhibition of an Australian artist to tour overseas. This film examines the amazing impact the works had, taking the art world by storm in Osaka and Tokyo. It was all the more incredible considering the vast differences in cultural backgrounds of the artist and her admirers.
