ER (1994)
Now the longest running American medical drama of all time, ER has won every TV award under the sun. It's made stars of some little known actors, like George Clooney, and can still pull in the big names for cameo appearances. What's stayed the same over 13+ years is the winning combination of frenetic medical emergencies and often equally dramatic personal stories involving the doctors, nurses and ambulance officers at County General Hospital, Chicago.
