When the potential to make big money combines with a very upmarket golf club, nobody, from the owner to the caddy, remains unaffected. Even the resident gopher is caught up in the turmoil. Will the owner keep his club, the caddy win his golf scholarship, the professional continue his lascivious ways, and the groundsman get the gopher? Or will it all come to a heaving halt as the developer razes the clubhouse, tears up the fairways, and plonks a hundred little money-making houses on the site? Only the gopher knows.
