The manager of small Scottish football team, the "Knockies", reluctantly agrees to accept a new player. He doesn't have much choice really, the new American owner has final say and the club is struggling. That player turns out to be a former hotshot who just happens to be married to the manager's daughter. Can they bury the hatchet, reverse the fortunes of the club and defeat Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Cup final?
