The classic tale of a young girl named Dorothy who is picked up by a tornado, swept away from her dreary Kansas home and deposited in the magical land of Oz. There she finds a population of impossible creatures, one very wicked witch, one very good witch, a Lion, a Tin Man, a Scarecrow and a powerful pair of sparkly red shoes. She's off to meet the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz, because he's the only one who can return her to dreary old Kansas. She sings and dances her way down the Yellow Brick Road, with lots of rollicking songs, snappy dance numbers and special effects that were, at the time, quite extraordinary. It hasn't lost its charm, even after more than 70 years.
