Angie Flores, an American weight-loss patient tried to help Ricky, as did Brisbane's Dr. George Hopkins. However, all avenues were closed unless Ricky could lose weight. Tragically, the story of Ricky Naputi, weighing close to 900 pounds, took a fatal turn for the worse.
