For 12 year old Dre Parker, the move from Detroit to Beijing would prove to be life changing. Arriving in China, Dre falls for a pretty girl in school and she reciprocates, but the culture is a big problem. Another huge obstacle is Cheng, a bully with excellent kung fu skills. When Cheng and his gang attack Dre outside his building, the maintenance man, Mr. Han, comes to the boy's aid with unbelievable kung fu mastery. One thing leads to another and Mr. Han agrees to train Dre. Dre learns that there is much more to his martial arts discipline than punching and kicking. This film was produced by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and stars their son, Jaden Smith, along with the infamous Jackie Chan.
