Inspiring schoolteacher William Hundert teaches the classics at a prestigious boy's school. He's a born educator who can get through to just about anyone. But privileged new boy Sedgewick Bell is a tough nut to crack. Progress is made but it all ends in tears when the teacher's values are compromised. 25 years later, at a school reunion, all the old issues and problems between the two men re-emerge.
