This compelling British film noir is set in the Paddington Green section of London, a few year after World War II. Here we find PC Mitchell, a young lad beginning his career on the police force, and PC Dixon, a veteran copper on the final lap of his career. The normal routine of these two officers is interrupted by a couple of young thugs, Spud and Riley, and their teen aged runaway pal, Diana.
