Surviving WW2 (2025)
Five civilians recount their WW2 survival. At 11, Simon Gronowski was pushed from a train bound for Auschwitz by his mother, who perished. Toke Yoshihashi, interned for his Japanese heritage, later fought for America in Africa and Italy. Irene Weiss survived Auschwitz after being separated from her family. Mary Lock witnessed the Coventry Blitz, and John Fieldsend was rescued by the Kindertransport, never seeing his parents again.
