Kryptonite is powerful stuff, even the synthetic variety; strong enough to split the Man of Steel in two. This creates two versions of our hero, one good and one bad. It's a pity Bad Superman is just as "super" as Good Superman. While he engages in struggle for self-control, the citizens of planet Earth are left to fend for themselves.
