Sixty-something record executive Harry Sanborn is still dating women half his age. His latest girlfriend is Marin, the daughter of a successful female playwright. When Harry and Marin escape for a quiet romantic weekend in the Hamptons they expect to have the house to themselves and are surprised when her mum, Erica, also arrives to stay. Things get complicated when Harry has a heart attack during foreplay and is rushed to hospital. Now he has to recuperate with his girlfriend's mother, who thinks he needs to grow up and start dating someone his own age.
