D.I Henry Crabbe has two talents but only one passion. He's a peerless policeman, which is why his boss won't let him retire, and he's a superb chef. So is he a cook moonlighting as a copper or a copper moonlighting as a cook? Henry can figure out who purloined the porcelain just as easily as he can whip up a fillet mignon followed by a champagne sorbet and a whisky chaser.
