Movie: Inkheart (2009)
A young girl discovers that her father has an amazing talent of actually bringing characters out of the books, as he reads them. She and her father are off on one adventure after another as they encounter magical beings and try to stop an nefarious villain. The movie is loosely based on the first book in a trilogy of the same name written by Cornelia Funke. Funke sent an autographed copy of the book to Brendan Fraser suggesting that he would be perfect for the lead role. Paul Bettany's received rave reviews in this film for his performance as Dustfinger.
