Gotham (2014)
In a dark twist of fate, Commissioner James Gordon's first important case as a rookie detective was the twin murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne. Gordon and his partner Harvey Bullock's investigation brought them up against the city's complex underworld, including warlord Fish Mooney and other villains who had not yet reached their stride like Selina Kyle and Oswald Cobblepot. But it was his deepening friendship with the young Bruce Wayne which led to the emergence of the caped vigilante, Batman.
