Bretons also boast of plentiful sardines, kelp forests, spiny crabs and the rare cobalt blue lobster.

Standing on one side of a road owner Jeremy Seysses points to a parcel of Grand Cru (the very best) of Clos de la Roche. On the other side is a Premier Cru (the next best) - a Gevrey-Chambertin Combottes. Back at the winery Eva tucks into beef cheeks bathed in Domaine Dujac for a classic boeuf bourguignon lunch. Now the taste test. Just a few meters apart and yet these reds are a class apart.
