Movie: Cast Away (2000)
Chuck is a frenetic, workaholic systems engineer, whose hard-done-by girlfriend is constantly being abandoned for last minute business trips. His manic lifestyle slams to an abrupt halt when, on Christmas Eve, his plane crashes in the Pacific. The only survivor, Chuck must learn to adapt to his new life, stranded alone on a desert island. He uses a volleyball named Wilson to satisfy his need for company and his inherent problem-solving skills to feed, clothe and shelter himself until he comes up with a plan for escape.
