William 'Billy' Fisher is a working class teenager living a dull, provincial life in the north of England. In reality, he works as a clerk at an undertaker's but in his rich fantasy life he's a very, very important person in the kingdom of Ambrosia. His constant flights of fancy, combined with an inability to take responsibility for his own actions and lack of emotional maturity constantly land him in hot water with his boss, his family and his two fiancees. Based on the novel by Keith Waterhouse.
