Steve Sabol, who founded NFL Films with his father, Ed, loved everything about football. In the 1960s and 70s, he was primarily a cameraman, editor and writer. He went on to become a popular on-air personality in the 1980s, winning 35 Emmy Awards. He received many other honours and awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for "revolutionizing the way America watches football and setting the standard in sports filmmaking."
