Susan is starting out on the glorious Norfolk Broads. Here, she is invited aboard a beautifully restored boat known as a wherry. Once a common sight, there are now only two of them on the Broads- and Susan quickly realises it draws admiring glances wherever it goes. She is handed a 24 foot pole and told to try her hand at quanting, an ancient method of pushing the boat along the shallow waterways. But it's when the sail is raised that she can see the true glory of this ancient craft.
