When an Australian couple travel to India to pick up the baby they have adopted, they expect to fly in, get the child and leave as soon as possible. But unexpected complications delay the process and the longer they stay, the more India gets under their skin in vastly different ways. Suddenly their attempt to create a truly happy family founders on the realisation that perhaps they're not such a happy couple after all.
