Moomins On The Riviera (Aka: Muumit Rivieralla) (2014)
Based on Moomin comic strips by Tove Jansson and Lars Jansson, this Finnish-French experimental animated film follows Moomins as they set sail for the Riviera in search for adventure. Following a journey frought with storms and desert island dangers, Snorkmaiden is dazzled by the attentions of a playboy. Moominpappa befriends an aristocrat and adopts the name 'de Moomin'. Exasperated by their behaviour, Moominmamma retires to the relative calm of their trusty boat in the hope that her family will come to their senses. Could the Moomins' unity be threatened for the first time?
